Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE II) - Preschool Program
Status: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Rainbow Day Nursery - Phase 5 (315 Sage Creek Boulevard)
Rate of Pay: Commensurate with experience; starting wage for ECE II (Level 1) is $27.56 per hour.

Hours/Schedule:
8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, including a paid 45-minute break. The schedule may vary and may include split shifts. Candidates must be available to work all shifts within centre operating hours (7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday).
General Description:
Working with a strong team including the program Supervisor, co-workers, family and the Assistant Director to provide a safe, caring and educational environment for 16 preschool children aged 2 to 5 years.
Specific Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and implementing daily activities for preschool
Provide additional support within the program to help co-regulate children with additional support needs
Ensure the safety and well being of all children at all times
Implement and complete daily routines/ transitions/ various cleaning duties
Provide compassionate attentive care to children
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes learning and development
Communicate effectively with parents and co-workers
Be a supportive team member who is able to collaborate and work with other team members to achieve program goals
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Familiarity with emergent curriculum/play-based approach
Familiarity with Circle of Security philosophy an asset but not required
Ability to take initiative and think outside the box
Eligible candidates must obtain/provide:
CCA classification
First Aid/CPR
Commit to Kids certificate
Current Criminal/Child Abuse Check
Centre-provided Circle of Security training
